There’s a new powder box out.

Haven’t had much time for creativity otherwise, save for stuff that’s part of my day job. I’m almost halfway through the writing course now. Trying to get a few intermittent work-from-home days so I can squeeze some progress in between the daily tasks. Meanwhile, my lucky pardner gets to play Red Dead Redemption every night while I slave over a hot keyboard.

Sorry for such a measly update; hope to have more to say in a few weeks. :)

“Feel The Tide” is now on iTunes – check it out! Hitting the studio in a couple of weeks to work on another piece with DJ NU. Hopefully won’t be sick or nervous, this visit – third time’s a charm, right?

Started mélange #3, but not getting a lot of time to work on it now that I’ve started on this mental writing course. Which reminds me – it’s assignment time. Laters, peace, etc.

powder box is a mini-zine – the bite-sized sort you make out of a sheet of A4 paper by cutting down the middle and folding it up; “6-page” I think they call it. Usually monochrome.

mélange is my perzine – a mish-mash of words and pictures. It’s not particularly exciting or sensational, just a space for sharing some of the stuff knocking about in my head – life stuff, writing experiments, design experiments.

The current issue is mélange #2: sensualist, about appreciating life through wine, beer, hangovers, holidays, food, friends and little trees. Includes snippets from my kitchen notebook, some wine theory, a bit about human needs and cameraphone photos of things I’ve eaten in the last couple of years.

my little room is an art piece in the form of a mini-zine. It explores the idea of learning to decide things for yourself as you fumble through the day-to-day. It’s 32pp thick, in full colour, weighs about 10g and stands a little smaller than A7. Handcut and stapled with love.

Distributed from September 2009 to March 2010.
